Supercar’s jewel: nine of the world’s rarest modern supercars


McLaren F1 LM: The McLaren F1 LM is the track version of the famous McLaren F1 sports car, designed to commemorate the McLaren F1 GTR, which won first place in the men’s 24-hour endurance race. Equipped with a 3.7-liter twin-turbo six-cylinder engine with 780 hp and headlights set with gems and diamonds, buyers can choose ruby, yellow diamond or sapphire according to the owner’s preferences.

Ferrari F40 LM: The Ferrari F40 is a mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports car designed to celebrate the company’s 40th anniversary. It was built between 1987 and 1992, when it was Ferrari’s most powerful and expensive car, which was priced at $400,000. Its twin-turbocharged V8 engine is 471 hp and has a top speed of 199 mph. One of the original 1,311 was sold to Formula One driver Nigel Mansell for £1 million in 1990, setting a record for 2010.
