After a comprehensive redesign in 2016, hyundai will have some minor updates. In 2018, modern Tucson will now enter the dealership, and the new model will get more features and an updated trim level for a year.
Tucson offers a new 7-inch touch screen (using Android Auto and Apple CarPlay) between the standard 5-inch and 8-inch screens. The new 7-inch screen standard SEL decoration, formerly known as the SE pop suite, comes with a 5-inch unit. The next model, the SE Plus, is now called SEL Plus.
Hyundai has abandoned the Eco accessory, which is 26/32/28 MPG fuel economy when used in conjunction with the front wheel drive. Night decorations and other cosmetic upgrades on black wheels also disappeared.
Heating the front seat has been extended to lower level SEL decorations and above. The SEL model can now be used with SiriusXM radio and hd radio. The mid-range adjustment also provides automatic dimming on the back of HomeLink, with standard 7-inch Android Auto and Apple CarPlay screen rearview mirrors. Existing guidance packages now include free maps and multimedia system updates.
The two engines are still on sale in Tucson. The first is a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 175 horsepower and 195 pound-feet torque, with a seven-speed dual clutch. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine provides 164 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque, equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission.
