The SUV has been updated and upgraded since the Expedition was introduced in 1997, but has never been completely redesigned. This is not the case. The full-size 2018 Ford Expedition rides on the new aluminum-intensive platform with a more up-to-date look. Let’s see how the new style compares with the outgoing model.
Ford uses the current C-headlight design on the F-150 and integrates it into the grille. The horizontal grille still remains, but now has smaller gaps and different patterns, depending on the trim level. The headlights and grilles on the Ford logo look bigger. The redesigned hood is more angular, resulting in a more aggressive look.
Ford raised the expedition’s waistline and increased sharply with the smaller explorers as automakers. Now, SUV side has a unique body line, from the front light to the rear light. Rear spoiler helps to improve sports performance.
Throughout the rear of the body, this box-shaped design makes the SUV look more solid, while the appearance of more rounded. C-taillights to replace the last generation models solid color taillights. Rear bumper looks larger, when seen from the back highlight the expedition’s volume.
As for the interior, small circular vents in the central chimney were replaced with larger vertical vents, infotainment display screens are growing, and Ford’s Sync 3 infotainment system is available. Now, the vertical shifter is a knob, four-spoke steering wheel with a more modern design and a thicker handle.
